Based upon Eaton market and technology strategies, create government funding ideas, including draft concepts (with concrete goals and objectives), identifying key partners and determining potential state or federal funding sources. Extensively interface with government customers and prime contractors in the development of R&D and demo program concepts. The goal is to identify available funding or create new funding for Eaton programs.B. Create and submit proposals. Draft and submit winning technical and cost proposals for emerging procurement opportunities. This includes managing the proposal process, creating strategic partnerships and ensuring the submission of a high value proposal. Create procurement opportunities by assisting government customers in developing procurements matches to Eaton’s products, businesses and strategies.C. Navigate State and Federal budgeting process to secure funds. Develop and implement effective strategies to steer proposals through government budgeting processes. Advocate on Eaton’s behalf at budget meetings, with law makers, and government financial controllers in order to influence the process and access funds appropriately.D. Develop network of contacts at federal and state agencies. Sample target agencies and labs including DOE HQ, NETL, NREL and ORNL, US Army CECOM and the California Energy Commission.
